In November 2004 members of the St. Kitts Sea Turtle Monitoring Network were trained to tag hawksbills by Darren Browne. Mr. Browne is performing a genetics study on Carribean hawksbill populations and St. Kitts and Nevis are 2 of his study sites. The tags and applicators were donated by WIDECAST and following the training SKSTMN began incorporating the in-water tagging portion of our conservation program.
